We specialise in breeding healthy pedigree Maine Coons, Ragdolls and healthy Mixed Breed kittens.
At Enchanted Paws Cattery, our breeding philosophy centers around love, care and a deep commitment to the well-being of every kitten, every Queen and Sire.
We believe that healthy, happy kittens with excellent temperaments come from an environment where they are cherished and nurtured from the very beginning.
Our cattery is not just a place where kittens are bred, it’s a loving home where each kitten is treated like a member of our family. We take pride in providing a warm, safe and stimulating environment that fosters their growth and development.
From the very first moments, our kittens are surrounded by gentle care, social interaction and plenty of affection, ensuring they grow into well-adjusted and affectionate companions.
We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of health and temperament in our breeding practices. Every decision we make, from the selection of breeding pairs to the care of pregnant mothers, is guided by our commitment to the long-term well-being of our kittens.
Our goal is to provide families with not just a pet, but a cherished family member who brings joy and love into their lives.
At Enchanted Paws Cattery, we have a structured process to ensure that every kitten finds a loving home, and that new owners are fully prepared for their new family member.
1. Join Our Group: If you’re interested in one of our kittens, we invite you to join our dedicated group where we regularly post updates and photos of our available kittens. This allows you to observe their development and personality as they grow.
2. Choosing Your Kitten: Once you’ve found a kitten that captures your heart, and it is not already reserved, we ask that you send us a message expressing your interest. This step is essential to ensure that the kitten you’ve chosen is still available.
3. Kitten Promise Agreement: Before proceeding, we ask all potential owners to read and agree to our ‘Kitten Promise’ sheet. This document outlines the responsibilities and commitments involved in caring for one of our kittens, ensuring that they go to a home where they will be cherished and well looked after.
4. Deposit and Reservation: After agreeing to the terms, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your chosen kitten. This deposit ensures that the kitten is reserved exclusively for you. The only circumstance under which we would refund this deposit is if, due to unforeseen reasons on our end—such as a health issue with the kitten or an unexpected change in availability—we are unable to fulfil the adoption.
5. Ongoing Updates: Throughout the kitten’s development, we keep you updated through our group, sharing photos, videos, and important milestones. This way, you can stay connected with your kitten as it grows.
6. Visitation at 6 Weeks: When the kittens reach 6 weeks of age, we offer a visit for prospective owners. During this visit, we ask that you kindly remove your shoes and sanitise your hands (sanitiser will be provided) to ensure a safe environment, as the kittens have not yet received their vaccinations.
7. Kitten Collection: Your kitten will be ready to join your family between 12-13 weeks of age. At this point, they will have had their vaccinations and will be well-prepared for the transition to their new home.
Yes, we do. We have what we call a Kitten Sale Agreement. This document is designed to finalise the terms and conditions of the adoption, ensuring that both parties are clear on their responsibilities. It covers important aspects such as the health and well-being of the kitten, our commitment to you as the breeder, and your commitment to providing a loving and caring home.
The agreement is intended to protect the interests of both the kitten and the new owner, offering peace of mind that you’re fully prepared for this exciting new chapter. We’ll go over the agreement together before the adoption is completed, so you’re comfortable and confident with every aspect.
No, we do not spay or neuter our kittens before they leave for their new homes. We believe that allowing kittens, especially larger breeds, to grow and develop fully is important for their long-term health and well-being. We recommend that spaying or neutering be done when the kitten reaches around 6 months of age, giving them the necessary time to mature properly before undergoing the procedure.
Our kittens come fully prepared for their new homes, ensuring a smooth transition and peace of mind for new owners. Each kitten will come with:
• Full Vaccinations: All necessary vaccinations will be up to date, ensuring your kitten is protected from common illnesses.
• Microchip: Your kitten will be microchipped for easy identification and added security.
• 5 Weeks Free Insurance: We provide five weeks of free pet insurance to give you peace of mind during the early days of bringing your kitten home.
• Food: A supply of the food they’ve been eating with us, to help them settle in and avoid any dietary changes.
• ‘Bringing Kitten Home’ Information Booklet: A helpful guide packed with tips and advice on how to care for your new kitten, making the transition as smooth as possible.
• Toys: A selection of their favourite toys to provide comfort and playtime fun in their new environment.
• Vaccination Card: A record of your kitten’s vaccinations, detailing what they’ve received and when the next vaccinations are due.
• Treats: Some tasty treats to spoil your new family member.
• Kitten Sale Agreement: A signed copy of the Kitten Sale Agreement for your records, outlining the terms and conditions of the adoption.
Absolutely! We’re more than happy to introduce you to the dad. We believe it’s important for potential owners to meet both parents, so you can see firsthand the wonderful temperament and health that your kitten will inherit.
Some of our litters are registered litters yes. When you purchase a registered kitten from us, you will be shown the registration certificate at the time of collection. However, the certificate will only be transferred to you once we receive proof of spaying or neutering from your veterinarian. This ensures that the kittens are being responsibly bred and cared for, in line with our commitment to their long-term health and well-being.
Yes, we do sell kittens on the active register, but only to established breeders and those who are genuinely committed to responsible breeding. We welcome breeders who are just starting out, provided they have done thorough research and can demonstrate a strong understanding of what responsible breeding entails.
Our priority is to ensure that any kitten sold on the active register is going to a home where they will be well cared for and where breeding practices will adhere to the highest standards.
If you’re interested in purchasing a kitten on the active register, we will have a detailed conversation to discuss your breeding plans, your experience, and your goals to ensure a good fit. We are dedicated to supporting ethical breeding practices and helping new breeders get started on the right foot.
